The steampunk owl — labelled "Owl / Hibou" — dominates the upper left, his chest and wings intricately built from interlocking bronze cogs and clockwork, his enormous blue eyes gleaming with intelligence. Beside him, a magnificent heron stretches its long neck across the center of the composition, its body a flowing tapestry of filigree metalwork, rainbow-hued feathers, and ornate gear-work legs.
