Shipping policy
📦 Upcoming Shipping Rate Changes — Effective July 1, 2026
We're updating our shipping rates starting July 1, 2026:
- Flat rate shipping: $8.99 on all orders (no order minimum — previously required $25+)
- Free shipping: Orders of $95 or more (previously $85+)
All orders placed before July 1 will ship at the current rates below.
The Puzzle Center
Order Processing
Orders are processed within 2 business days, except for Pre-Orders and Puzzle Tables and other furniture. Orders received by 12pm Pacific Time are usually processed next day day, excluding weekends and holidays. Once your order is processed, you will receive an email with your shipping confirmation and tracking information.
Pre-Orders are shipped within one week of the product arriving at our warehouse. You will be notified by email when your pre-order ships.
Puzzle Tables and other furniture are fulfilled directly by our supplier partner and are subject to the supplier's processing and delivery timelines. See the Puzzle Tables & Furniture Shipping section below for details.
Please note: on occasion our small family team may be away on vacation or a family trip, and shipping may be delayed by a few extra days. If this occurs, we will post a notice for you to see before you check out so you know in advance. This doesn't happen often — maybe once or twice a year — but we will always let you know before you purchase.
Domestic US Shipping
Shipping from our Portland, OR Warehouse
The Puzzle Center ships to the contiguous 48 states using USPS, UPS, and FedEx. We always select the most cost-effective carrier and service for flat rate and free shipping orders.
Effective July 1, 2026, updated shipping rates apply to all new orders.
Free Shipping
Orders of $95 or more in jigsaw puzzles and puzzle supplies ship free to the contiguous 48 states. Puzzle Tables and other furniture are excluded from the free shipping calculation. Select "Economy" at checkout to receive this rate.
Flat Rate Shipping — $8.99
All orders of jigsaw puzzles and puzzle supplies under $95 ship for a flat rate of $8.99 to the contiguous 48 states, regardless of order size or weight. There is no minimum order value required to qualify for flat rate shipping. Puzzle Tables and other furniture are excluded from flat rate shipping.
Carrier Selection & Delivery Estimates
Free and flat rate orders are shipped using the carrier of our choice (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) based on the best rate and service for your location. Delivery is not guaranteed on a specific date and we estimate 2–7 business days from carrier pickup depending on your delivery address.
If you need faster delivery, expedited shipping options are available at checkout with estimated delivery times and carrier-calculated rates displayed for you to select.
PO Boxes
Free and flat rate shipping are not available for PO Box addresses. If a PO Box address is entered at checkout, shipping options and rates will be calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your package for you to select your preferred carrier and service.
Orders Outside the Contiguous 48 States
For delivery locations outside the contiguous 48 states (Alaska, Hawaii, US territories), shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight and dimensions of your package. All available carrier options and rates will be displayed for you to choose from.
Expedited Shipping
If you need your order sooner, expedited shipping options are available at checkout. Carrier options, estimated delivery times, and rates are calculated in real time based on your delivery address and displayed at checkout for you to select.
Puzzle Tables & Furniture Shipping
Puzzle Tables and other puzzle furniture are shipped directly from our supplier's location, not from our Portland, OR warehouse. These products are subject to the supplier's shipping terms, rates, and estimated delivery timelines, which will be displayed at checkout after your shipping address is entered.
Please note the following for furniture orders:
- Shipping rates are calculated based on the supplier's carrier and your delivery location and will be shown at checkout.
- Processing times may differ from our standard 2 business days and will vary by supplier.
- Delivery timelines are estimates provided by the supplier's carrier and are not guaranteed.
- Furniture orders are not eligible for free shipping or flat rate shipping.
- Returns on Puzzle Tables and furniture are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Please see our Return & Refund Policy for full details.

International Shipping — Canada & Rest of World
The Puzzle Center now ships internationally to Canada and select countries worldwide through Shopify Managed Markets, powered by Global-e.
How international orders work
When you place an international order, Global-e acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. This means:
- Prices are displayed in your local currency at checkout.
- All applicable duties, taxes, and import fees are calculated and collected at checkout — there are no surprise fees at your door (Delivered Duty Paid).
- Orders are fulfilled from our Portland, OR warehouse and shipped via our international carrier partners.
International shipping rates
International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, the weight and dimensions of your order, and the carrier selected. Rates and estimated delivery times will be displayed at checkout for you to review before completing your purchase.
Duties, taxes, and customs
All duties, taxes, and applicable import fees are included in your order total at checkout. You will not be charged additional fees upon delivery. Please note that once an international order has been shipped, we are unable to modify the customs declaration.
International returns & refunds
All international sales are final. We do not accept returns from customers outside of the United States. We strongly encourage international customers to review product details carefully before purchasing.
If your international order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at hello@thepuzzlecenter.com within 5 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage and the shipping packaging. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a resolution. Please note that duties and taxes paid at checkout are non-refundable on fulfilled and shipped orders.

Countries we ship to
We currently ship to many international countries and a growing list of countries worldwide. Available destinations are displayed at checkout. If your country is not currently listed, please check back — we are expanding our international shipping over time.
Shipping Insurance & Damaged Orders
All shipments from our Portland, OR warehouse are insured for the full value of the order contents.
If your order arrives damaged, please:
- Take photos of the shipping box from all sides — including boxes that do not appear visibly damaged on the outside. These photos are required for carrier claims.
- Take photos of the damaged item(s).
- Contact us within 5 days of delivery at hello@thepuzzlecenter.com or via the chat bubble with your order number and photos.
After 5 days, we may not be able to file a carrier claim. We address damage claims on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to find a resolution, which may include a refund, store credit, or replacement.

Incorrect Addresses, Undeliverable Packages & Porch Piracy
Incorrect address: Please review your shipping address carefully before completing your order. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address that you provided at checkout. If your package is misdelivered due to an address error, we will work with the carrier to attempt to locate and correct the shipment, but in some cases we are unable to recover the package. If the shipment is returned to us, we will issue store credit for the order amount minus the original outbound shipping fees and any return shipping fees charged to us by the carrier.
Refused or undeliverable shipments: If your shipment is returned to us due to a refused delivery or other delivery issue, we will issue store credit for your order minus the original shipping fees and any return shipping fees charged to us by the carrier.
Porch piracy & carrier-confirmed deliveries: We are not responsible for packages lost to theft after delivery. If the carrier confirms that your order was delivered to the address provided, no reimbursement will be made. We recommend requiring a signature at delivery or shipping to a secure location if theft is a concern in your area. Please contact your local carrier or file a police report if you believe your package was stolen after delivery.
