A puzzle snob with a plan
Villager started in 2023 with Kelly Striemer, a working mom of three who found puzzling by accident. She needed something quiet to do after the kids went to bed, and a puzzle became her version of meditation. Pretty soon she was a self-described puzzle snob. We get it. She couldn't find a picture puzzle with art she wanted to hang on her wall, pieces that fit just right, and a box that looked good on a shelf.
So she made her own. Villager is based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and it still feels personal.
Original art by Canadian women
Every Villager puzzle features original artwork by a Canadian woman artist, and the artists earn royalties on every sale. Kelly's first collection had eight artists, and she's invited more to join each season. The styles are all over the map, which is half the fun.
A few of our favorites:
